Penn State - 36, Indiana - 31 I had a feeling coming into this game that we shouldn't take Indiana lightly, and they prove that to be the case. Indiana had the same 5-2 record as we had going into the game. Their QB, Kellen Lewis is very young, but looked very good. He will definitely be a threat in the next couple of years. As well, their 6'7" receiver Hardy will also be a major threat. Those two teamed up to riddle our defense and rack up 142 yards and 2 TDs alone. In total, the D gave up 318 yards passing, but only 68 yards rushing. The secondary played soft all day, and Justin King looked as if he had his mind on the post-game party rather than the game itself. The defense... Read More »

Very funny! I have recently added a facebook profile since Tacit has created a little interactivity of illumio with facebook. While on facebook I found this application called "takeastand" which defines a serious of issues and allows you to comment on. Here is, in a nutshell, my political views on the topics presented: 2008 Presidential Candidates: We need an economically-savvy business person combined with a military general. Party: Yes, and frequently! No, seriously the party system is pathetic. Call me an idealist... Why do we bind ourselves to published beliefs and ideals, and then vote certain ways simply because of that's our party line. Do what's right for... Read More »
strong>#19 Wisconsin – 7, Penn State 38 The headline on ESPN.com was this: Penn State runs over No. 19 Wisconsin in rout A rout?!? Wow! Finally the game I was waiting for for the last 6 weeks! It all seemed to come together nicely for PSU. Wisconsin, ranked 19 (as we were not too long ago), just deflated at Happy Valley. 3 turn overs (and can you believe none from us???) paved the way to an easy win over the over-rated Badgers. Too bad they lost last week to Illinois! Miserable Morelli was actually sharp right from the start - 16 of 28, 216 yards and 1 TD - although he looked better than the stats! I'm officially changing my nick name for him to Mr. Inconsistent, because you don't know, not only from game to game, but from down to down, which Morelli is going to show up. He looked like a superstar today, it was un-freaking-believable! The receivers we in the right spots at the right time, the line was blocking, Kinlaw and Royster racked up over 170 yards combined. Connor and Lee were tackle happy, and the defense earned a few more sacks and tackles for loss. And the D held P.J. Hill to a paultry 70 yards, well under his season average. As I anticipated: stop Hill and you stop the Badgers, nolo contendre...... Read More »
Penn State – 27, Iowa 7 Getting this blog entry a bit late, but Penn State won it's first game in Big Ten play against Iowa. Now was PSU really good, or does Iowa just suck? Morelli started off horribly, and actually finished the game with 2 picks. But, he did actually get better as the game went on. He ended up 18 of 31 for 233 yards, and 1 TD. The other TDs came courtesy of the ground game and Rodney Kinlaw. The defense, as usual, lived up to their expectations and held Iowa to 194 total yards. But this Iowa team didn't seem all that impressive. This week also saw the loss of Wisconsin (whom we play next week) to Illinois (who beat us last week). I was SO hoping that they... Read More »
